November SSI Payments: Key Dates and Schedule for Beneficiaries

Social Security Payment Schedule November 2024

As November begins, it’s crucial for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients to be aware of the payment schedule, which includes some unique adjustments this month. SSI payments, designed for individuals with disabilities and older adults with little to no income or resources, are typically issued on the 1st of the month. For November 2024, SSI recipients will receive their monthly payments on November 1, as this date does not fall on a weekend or holiday.

In addition to the regular November payment, SSI recipients will also receive an advance payment for December. This is because the usual December 1 payment date falls on a Sunday, prompting the Social Security Administration (SSA) to issue the payment earlier. Therefore, SSI recipients will receive their December payment on Friday, November 29.

It’s important to note that this additional payment in November is not an extra benefit or bonus but rather an advance on the December payment. This means that SSI recipients will see two deposits in November but will not receive another payment until January 2025.

For those who receive both SSI and Social Security benefits, or for those who started receiving benefits before May 1997, their Social Security payment will also be issued on November 1, as the usual payment date of the 3rd falls on a Sunday this month.

If beneficiaries encounter any issues with their payments, they are advised to contact their bank or financial institution first. If the issue persists, they can reach out to the SSA at 1-800-772-1213 or visit their local Social Security office..
