Stagecoach Music Festival Arrests 2025

INDIO, CA — The Stagecoach Music Festival concluded last weekend with a reported 20 percent increase in arrests compared to last year, authorities stated on Wednesday.

A total of 151 individuals were arrested and 86 were cited during the festival, which took place from April 25 to April 27, according to the Indio Police Department. The festival attracts tens of thousands to the Coachella Valley annually, following the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

According to Abe Plata, the department’s Public Information Officer, around 91 of the arrests fell under the category of ‘other.’ These included offenses such as minors in possession and consumption of alcohol, trespassing, battery, and resisting arrest.

Specific offenses included three arrests for intoxication, 54 for possessing a fake form of identification, and three for drug possession. Among the citations, 84 were issued for the unlawful use of a disabled person’s placard, while two were for unspecified violations. Last year, the festival resulted in 124 arrests and 83 citations.

The increase in arrests correlates with a broader trend in public safety concerns during large events, as authorities noted this year’s spike follows a similar trend observed during the Coachella festival.

This year’s festival attracted thousands of fans eager to enjoy performances, but with the rise in arrests, police remained vigilant throughout the weekend.
