Star Wars Revenge Of The Sith 20th Anniversary Poster

LOS ANGELES, April 14, 2025 — Tickets are now on sale for the theatrical re-release of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” in celebration of its 20th anniversary. The film will return to select U.S. theaters and international locations for one week only, beginning April 25.

This limited engagement offers longtime fans and newcomers alike the chance to experience the epic saga on the big screen once again. The re-release is available across several popular theater chains, including AMC, Alamo Drafthouse, B&B, Cinemark, Fandango, Galaxy, Harkins, Marcus, Megaplex, and Regal Showcase.

In a groundbreaking first, the film will be screened in 4DX. This immersive experience features high-tech motion chairs synchronized with over 21 environmental effects, such as wind, fog, and scents, aiming to deepen the emotional connection and visual impact of the film. Enthusiastic fans can look forward to feeling the heat of lava and the rush of battle as they revisit Anakin Skywalker’s tragic journey.

To commemorate this milestone, Fandango has unveiled a special 20th Anniversary poster featuring a dynamic color variation of the re-release artwork. The new design emphasizes the film’s intense themes of loyalty, betrayal, and destiny, capturing the cinematic essence that made it a fan favorite.

<p"Originally released in 2005, "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith" is the final movie in George Lucas’s prequel trilogy. Set during the last days of the Clone Wars, the story follows Jedi Knights leading the Republic’s clone army against the Separatist forces while simultaneously battling internal darkness, as the Sith execute a plan to gain control of the galaxy. Anakin Skywalker, portrayed by Hayden Christensen, is seduced by the dark side of the Force, ultimately becoming Darth Vader and sealing the Jedi Order’s fate.

“It’s a story where it all unravels for Anakin,” described artist Matt Ferguson, who created the re-release poster. “The space battle and Mustafar elements are complicated, with more ships and explosions than my other Star Wars posters.”

Starring a powerhouse cast including Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Natalie Portman as Padmé Amidala, Ian McDiarmid as Chancellor Palpatine, and Samuel L. Jackson as Mace Windu, the film has left an indelible mark on popular culture. The tale of Anakin’s descent and the rise of the Galactic Empire remains a significant element of the broader Star Wars narrative.

Those eager to relive this pivotal moment in cinematic history can purchase tickets through various outlets, including theater chains and Fandango. The film will run from April 25 to May 2, just ahead of Star Wars Day on May the Fourth.
