2 Broke Girls Reunion News

LOS ANGELES, CA – Fans of the beloved sitcom ‘2 Broke Girls‘ are still hopeful for a reunion, eight years after the show was canceled. Stars Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs have been busy with their own projects, but new discussions suggest a possible collaboration.

Behrs is set to star in the eighth and final season of ‘The Neighborhood,’ which premieres on October 13. Meanwhile, Dennings leads ‘Shifting Gears,’ produced by former ‘2 Broke Girls’ showrunner.

The idea of a reunion was hinted at when ‘The Neighborhood’ co-showrunner mentioned that they considered casting Dennings in a guest role during an earlier season. “We talked about [stunt-casting] Kat Dennings a couple of seasons ago,” he told TVLine. “We actually had a possible role for her, but she wasn’t available.”

The specific episode in mind was Season 5, where Behrs’ character Gemma confronts an old friend. The part ultimately went to another actress, but the dialogue around the possibility remains strong. “It seemed like a perfect role,” Schiff added.

Now with ‘Shifting Gears’ and ‘The Neighborhood’ filming at nearby studios, the timing may be right. “We want Beth to come over,” said the showrunner. “They happen to shoot [The Neighborhood] on Tuesday nights as well, so we are hopeful.”

To make a crossover work, producers will need network approval and timetable coordination, as Behrs’ availability will be crucial. Schiff and fellow producers are actively seeking ways to make this happen before ‘The Neighborhood’ wraps.

The possibility of Dennings and Behrs reuniting for a guest appearance has captivated fans and is seen as a considerable draw for both shows. “I think the audience really enjoys it,” Schiff stated.

As talks continue, fans are eager to see if Dennings and Behrs can set the stage for their characters to return together. The potential for nostalgia and excitement lingers in the air.
