Stereophonics Announce 2025 Stadium Tour Across UK and Ireland
Stereophonics, the renowned Welsh rock band, has announced their largest stadium tour to date for the summer of 2025. Dubbed “Stadium Anthems,” this tour will see the band performing across seven towns and cities, concluding with a significant homecoming performance at Cardiff‘s Principality Stadium.
Formed in 1992 in Cwmaman, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Stereophonics have established themselves as the most successful Welsh band of their generation, with eight UK number one albums. Frontman Kelly Jones expressed his excitement about returning to large-scale live performances, stating, “Playing all the hits of this band’s catalogue for people in huge outdoor gatherings through the summer makes me so excited.”
The tour marks Stereophonics’ return to the road after their last arena tour in 2022, during which they performed alongside Sir Tom Jones for two nights at the Principality Stadium. The upcoming tour will include performances in Belfast, Dublin, Cork, Huddersfield, Glasgow, and London. Special guests for the shows are yet to be announced, and tickets will be available for purchase from 09:00 BST on 11 October.
Adding to their busy schedule, Stereophonics will headline the Isle of Wight Festival on June 21, 2025. This will be the band’s first appearance at the festival in three years, where they will perform alongside other headliners Sting and Justin Timberlake. The festival’s lineup also features bands such as The Script, Faithless, and Texas, among others. “What a line-up we have in store,” said festival promoter John Giddings, highlighting the mix of global icons and new talent.
As for new music, fans can look forward to Stereophonics’ upcoming release in 2025, a follow-up to their 2022 album “Oochya.” Jones hinted at the band’s progress on their 13th studio album, jokingly stating, “We should make a new album… oh wait, we already did that!”
