Steve Martin and Martin Short Bring Comedy to Chattanooga This Weekend
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Comedy legends Steve Martin and Martin Short will take the stage at Memorial Auditorium on Thursday night, offering fans a chance to see their iconic duo dynamic live. The performance, part of their ongoing tour, will begin at 8 p.m., with tickets ranging from $114 to $271.
Meanwhile, the New Echota State Historic Site in Calhoun, Ga., will host a unique event for cast iron enthusiasts on Saturday. Rangers will demonstrate how to care for and use cast iron cookware, while also sharing insights into Cherokee cooking techniques. Admission costs $6-$8, and the event begins at 2 p.m.
Art lovers have plenty to explore this weekend as well. The Creative Arts Guild in Dalton, Ga., continues its exhibitions featuring abstract expressionist Roxanne Fulkerson and silversmith Jeff Fulkerson. Both shows run through Feb. 28, with gallery hours varying by day.
For those interested in nature and art, the Hunter Museum of American Art, in partnership with Reflection Riding, will host “Winter Birds and Cranes in Nature and Art” on Saturday. The event includes a tour of winter-themed artworks at the museum, followed by a trip to the Hiwassee Wildlife Refuge to observe sandhill cranes. Sports fans won’t want to miss the Chattanooga Football Club’s home game against Atlanta United at Finley Stadium on Saturday. General admission tickets cost $25 for the 3 p.m. match.
