Belgian singer Stromae has made a highly anticipated return to music with the release of his new song, “Ma meilleure ennemie,” a duet with French singer Pomme. This latest track is part of the original soundtrack for the second season of the Netflix animated series “Arcane,” which is based on the popular video game “League of Legends.”

The song marks Stromae’s first musical release in two and a half years, following the interruption of his “Multitude Tour” in March 2023 due to health reasons. Despite his recent hiatus, Stromae has remained in the public eye, recently receiving the red box of Commander of the Order of the Crown from King Philippe of Belgium for his contributions to music.

“Ma meilleure ennemie” is a special composition for the final episodes of Arcane Season 2, which have recently been released on Netflix. The song’s lyrics reflect a complex and tumultuous relationship, capturing the essence of the series’ themes. This collaboration with Pomme adds to the rich musical landscape of Arcane, which has also featured contributions from other notable artists such as Woodkid.

The release of “Ma meilleure ennemie” is accompanied by other upcoming projects from Stromae, including a concert film from his “Multitude Tour” set to air on YouTube on December 14, following a television broadcast on TMC on December 6.
