Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Ends with Final Season and New Offline Mode
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is entering its final season, marking the conclusion of Rocksteady‘s current roadmap for the game. Starting December 10, players will be introduced to the new playable character Deathstroke, also known as Slade Wilson, a cold-blooded mercenary and one of the world’s deadliest assassins. Deathstroke brings his tactical genius, unparalleled swordsmanship, and advanced tools courtesy of A.R.G.U.S. to the game, aiming to put an end to Brainiac’s invasion.
The final season, Season 4, will culminate with Episode 8 in January 2025, which will be the last seasonal episode for the game. This season is set in a medieval-inspired Elseworld, inspired by DC’s Dark Knights of Steel comic book series, where Brainiac has invaded and terraformed the environment. Players will experience a unique setting, with Smallville reimagined as a medieval village and the Hall of Justice as a feudal castle.
In addition to Deathstroke, Season 4 Episode 7 will also feature the Infamy Set of Gorilla Grodd, one of The Flash’s most dangerous villains, known for his physical and mental powers. This update will enhance the gameplay with new abilities and challenges.
A significant addition to the game is the long-awaited offline mode, which will be available starting December 10. This mode allows players to experience the main story campaign and all post-launch seasonal content without an internet connection, ensuring that the game remains playable even after official support ends.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has had a tumultuous run since its launch in February 2024. Despite initial strong sales, the game failed to maintain player engagement, leading to a $200 million loss for Warner Bros. The game’s live-service model and seasonal updates, including characters like The Joker and Mrs. Freeze, did not meet the expected success. However, the addition of the offline mode and the final season’s content aim to provide a satisfying conclusion for the remaining players.
After the final update, Rocksteady will conclude its support for the game, although all online features will continue to be available. The future plans for Rocksteady include assisting sister studio Avalanche Software on an enhanced edition of Hogwarts Legacy.
