Suits LA Creator Discusses Meghan Markle’s Potential Return

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 22, 2025 — Aaron Korsh, the creator of the popular series ‘Suits,’ recently spoke with People Magazine about the possibility of Meghan Markle returning to the franchise in its upcoming spin-off, ‘Suits LA.’ The discussion comes as anticipation builds for the new series, set to debut on NBC on February 23, 2025.

During the interview, Korsh reflected on Markle’s significant role as Rachel Zane in the original series, which aired from 2011 to 2018. He stated, ‘So, look, to me, we have thought about whether it be Meghan or any of the other cast members coming on and playing themselves as an actor…I think for me that’s a little … My brain blows up at the thought of that.’

Markle played Rachel Zane, a paralegal who ultimately became a lawyer and pursued a romance with Mike Ross, portrayed by Patrick J. Adams. Markle exited the series in Season 7, moving to Seattle with Ross when he left the show. Korsh noted that if Markle wanted to return, ‘Obviously, if Meghan wants to come back under any circumstances, Meghan can come back. But I think realistically, it would be too much of an explosion of the fourth wall to do that.’

Since stepping away from acting in 2018, following her marriage, Markle has taken on projects such as narrating Disneynature’s ‘Elephant.’ She is also set to appear in a Netflix reality series titled ‘With Love, Meghan,’ which is scheduled for release in March 2025.

‘Suits LA’ will feature Stephen Amell as Ted Black, an attorney who relocates from New York to Los Angeles to establish his own law firm. Fans are eager to see potential appearances from characters of the original ‘Suits’ cast, including Gabriel Macht‘s character, Harvey Specter.

The excitement around Markle’s possible involvement adds a layer of intrigue to the launch of ‘Suits LA,’ as old and new fans alike anticipate how the franchise will evolve.
