LOS ANGELES, June 6, 2025 — The annual Summer Game Fest (SGF) begins today, bringing a slew of exciting announcements and gameplay reveals from across the gaming industry. The event, which serves as a spiritual successor to E3, kicks off with a live showcase from the YouTube Theater at 5 PM ET.

This year, the SGF promises a variety of titles from well-known studios and indie developers alike. As the livestream begins, viewers can expect game reveals, trailers, and updates on some of the most anticipated titles of the year.
n
Among the highlights is a new FPS from Mundfish, showcasing graphic zombie battles and unique gameplay elements. Additionally, notable titles such as Lego Party, which combines the fun of Mario Party with Lego minifigs, have generated significant interest.

Also featured is the return of Hitman with a special LeChiffre mission inspired by the James Bond film Casino Royale, set to last for 30 days. This marks a partnership with actor Mads Mikkelsen, who is also making appearances at the festival.
n
Players can also look forward to the upcoming MMO survival game, Scum, coming on June 17, and DLC for The First Descendant on August 7. Capcom announced a summer sale on resident Evil titles during the event.

Exciting indie games are also part of the lineup, including Blighted and Acts of Blood, promising engaging gameplay and unique artistic styles.

The SGF has redefined the way game showcases are presented, moving away from a single big event format to multiple smaller showcases streamed online. Gamers are encouraged to tune in, with a full weekend of activities planned, including the Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday.

For those unable to attend in person, the entire showcase can be viewed live on YouTube.
