Sunny Monday in D.C. Before Rainy Week Ahead

WASHINGTON, D.C. (7News) — Residents can expect a pleasant Monday as the warmest day of the week arrives, with high temperatures reaching the mid to upper 70s. This weather is ideal for outdoor activities before a series of upcoming rainstorms.
According to meteorologists, the day will start with dry conditions and low humidity, perfect for enjoying the sunshine. However, as the afternoon progresses, clouds will increase, bringing a chance of isolated showers particularly in the mountainous areas.
A few scattered showers may develop west of I-95, but most areas will remain rain-free until later in the week. “Take advantage of this nice weather while it lasts,” advised a local weather expert.
Rain is predicted to return on Tuesday morning, with intermittent showers expected throughout the day, along with some rumbles of thunder. Although the potential for severe weather remains uncertain, residents are encouraged to stay alert.
The National Weather Service has issued an alert for Wednesday, warning of scattered showers and thunderstorms that may lead to heavy rainfall, especially in low-lying areas, which could result in flash flooding.
As the week continues, Thursday is expected to be partly sunny with isolated afternoon showers and storms developing. Stay tuned for updates to remain informed about the changing weather conditions.
