Rajinikanth Chennai Hospital

Actor Rajinikanth, a prominent figure in the Tamil film industry, was admitted to a private hospital located on Greams Road, Chennai. According to a bulletin released by the hospital on Tuesday, Rajinikanth underwent a non-surgical transcatheter treatment to address swelling in the main artery emerging from his heart. The procedure involved placing a stent in the affected area to completely seal the swelling.

The hospital has reported that the popular actor is currently in stable condition and is expected to be discharged within the next two days. Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma Subramanian reassured the public that there was no major surgical procedure involved in Rajinikanth’s treatment, stating, “His condition is being consistently monitored. There is no reason to worry.”

The 73-year-old actor, known for his extensive career in Indian cinema, had previously undergone a renal transplant in 2016. This latest medical intervention follows his admission to the hospital for digestive discomfort, after which he underwent an elective procedure at the cath lab.

Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M.K. Stalin, extended his wishes for the actor’s speedy recovery through a post on ‘X’, a popular social media platform. “I stand with the millions of devoted fans of Thiru Rajinikanth around the globe, in praying for his swift and smooth recovery,” said Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Ravi in support of the actor.

While there has not been an official statement from Rajinikanth’s family regarding his health, fans around the world continue to express their concern and support on social media platforms.
