Tamzin Outhwaite Channel 5 Thriller

Tamzin Outhwaite is back on television screens with a new thriller on Channel 5. The 53-year-old actress stars alongside Angela Griffin and Jo Joyner. They play three sisters-in-law and close friends who attempt to unravel a family mystery. Tamzin Outhwaite is widely recognized for her roles in EastEnders, New Tricks, and Hotel Babylon.

In her personal life, Tamzin was previously married to Lucifer star Tom Ellis. Tom Ellis is also known for his role in the BBC sitcom Miranda. The couple met in 2005 through a mutual friend, James McAvoy, and married in 2006. They have two daughters, Florence and Marnie. However, the couple separated in 2013 and divorced in 2014. Their relationship reportedly ended due to Tom Ellis’s affair with a co-star. Tamzin has suggested that infidelity was a reason for their split. In 2015, she told Essentials Magazine, “I wouldn’t not be with my husband over a one-night stand is all I’ll say.”

In July of last year, Tamzin shared further details regarding her past experiences. “Ten years since the father of my kids walked out on us for the final time,” she wrote in a now-deleted post on X. “I still meet new people on jobs who reveal more infidelities and lies that he committed. But thankfully my heart and soul are clear, and I could not be happier right now. #Gratitude.”

In recent years, Tamzin found her current partner, director Tom Child, whom she met at a yoga class in 2017. They publicly announced their romance a year later. In 2021, Tamzin praised her boyfriend, who is 20 years younger than her, as the “perfect stepdad” to her daughters. She discussed their relationship on The Hot Mess Mum Club podcast, hosted by Jenny Powell and Kelly Pegg, saying, “It takes a really special human to come in as a younger stepdad with two young girls.” She mentioned how he supports her parental authority while also building a close bond with the girls. Tamzin and Tom celebrated their four-year anniversary in 2021.

Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine in 2020, Tamzin addressed the age gap with her partner. “When you get to this age, you stop caring what people think, and the only opinions that matter are my two girls. If they adore him, which they do, that’s all I need,” she remarked.
