Taylor Swift Embraces Chiefs Kingdom in Support of Travis Kelce

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Since Taylor Swift began dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce in 2023, the global pop star has become a fixture at NFL games, cheering on her boyfriend from private suites and embracing the world of football. “Football is awesome, it turns out,” Swift told TIME in a 2023 profile. “I’ve been missing out my whole life.”

Swift’s support for Kelce has taken her to both home and away games, often traveling long distances to attend. In one notable instance, she flew over 13 hours from Japan to Las Vegas after performing at her Eras Tour concert the night before. At each game, Swift is seen celebrating touchdowns alongside Kelce’s family, friends, and a rotating cast of celebrities.

During an October 2023 game, Swift sat with Brittany Mahomes, wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and their children. The two women were photographed celebrating enthusiastically, sparking viral reactions. “I need to talk to Travis because me and Travis don’t even have a handshake yet,” Patrick Mahomes joked later. “They’re ahead of the game on us.”

WWE alum Baron Corbin, who attended a game with his family, described the experience as surreal. “It’s just mobs of people taking selfies of Taylor and just her existing,” Corbin said. “She’s super dope and super humble.”
