Astro Bot Game Of The Year The Game Awards 2024

Team Asobi has achieved a significant milestone with their game, *Astro Bot*, winning the coveted Game of the Year award at The Game Awards 2024. The game, developed by Team Asobi and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, beat out strong competition from titles like *Balatro*, *Black Myth: Wukong*, *Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree*, and *Final Fantasy VII Rebirth*.

In addition to the Game of the Year award, *Astro Bot* also won awards for Best Game Direction, Best Action/Adventure Game, and Best Family Game. This recognition underscores the game’s widespread acclaim for its wholesome vibes, excellent level design, and family-friendly gameplay.

To celebrate the festive season, Team Asobi has also announced a new holiday-themed level for *Astro Bot*, titled ‘Winter Wonder’. This level, set to launch at 6:00 pm PT on December 13, will feature Christmas-themed challenges, shiny presents, and new special bots to add to the player’s crew. The update is designed to be enjoyable for all ages and will remain accessible after the holiday season.

The success of *Astro Bot* is a significant achievement for Team Asobi and Sony, marking a high point in the game’s journey since its release on September 6, 2024. The game has sold 1.5 million copies in its first two months and has received widespread critical acclaim.
