Teen Charged with Murder After Fatal Stabbing Near Doonside Technology High School
Authorities are investigating a tragic incident that led to the death of an 18-year-old teenager and left another critically injured near Doonside Technology High School in Sydney‘s west. The events unfolded on Power Street, where emergency services were alerted to a stabbing around 3:40pm on Friday.
Before the arrival of Blacktown Police Area Command, both victims, aged 18 and 19, took themselves to the Blacktown Police Station. Regrettably, the 18-year-old succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while the 19-year-old was swiftly transported to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A 16-year-old was swiftly apprehended near the Doonside incident location and brought to Mount Druitt Police Station. It has been disclosed that the teenager has been formally charged with murder and is scheduled to appear at a children’s court.
The investigation into this distressing ordeal has been undertaken by officers from Blacktown PAC, with support from State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad under the banner of Strike Force Cooey.
