Three Killed in Head-On Collision in Van Alstyne, Texas

VAN ALSTYNE, Texas (KXII) – Three people were killed in a head-on collision on May 17, 2025, in Van Alstyne, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).
The crash occurred on FM 3133, just west of Jim Cannon Road. DPS reports that one vehicle passed in a no-passing zone, leading to the deadly collision involving two other cars.
Two children and an adult male were pronounced dead at the scene. Another adult was transported to Baylor Scott & White in McKinney with serious injuries, while a third person was treated and released at the scene.
Law enforcement and emergency services from the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office and Van Alstyne’s fire and EMS assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation as authorities continue to gather evidence.
