DUBAI, UAE – TIME will host the fourth annual TIME100 AI Impact Awards Gala on February 10, 2025, at the Museum of the Future, celebrating individuals making significant strides in artificial intelligence. This year’s honorees include Arvind Krishna, Anima Anandkumar, Grimes, and Refik Anadol.

The event will recognize the honorees’ pioneering work within the AI field and is aimed at showcasing the latest innovations and contributions to the technology. TIME CEO Jessica Sibley stated, “As AI continues to reshape our world, TIME is proud to spotlight the individuals at the forefront of this technological advancement.”

Krishna, who serves as the Chairman, President, and CEO of IBM, has been a pivotal figure in advancing AI technologies. His commitment to specialized AI highlights his vision of making AI more accessible and economically viable. “Smaller models, with much less compute applied to train them, can be successful,” Krishna said in an interview with TIME. “This is going to drive economic returns that are different.”

Anandkumar, a renowned professor at the California Institute of Technology, focuses on using AI to accelerate scientific discovery. She has developed groundbreaking AI algorithms capable of simulating complex physical systems far quicker than traditional methods. “My research unlocks advances across science and engineering,” Anandkumar explained. Her work signifies a convergence of AI and scientific research, showcasing the potential for these domains to enhance one another.

Music artist Grimes, recognized for her innovative contributions to the music industry and self-replicating art, along with media artist Refik Anadol, will also be honored at the gala. Anadol’s work in blending art and AI demonstrates the intersection of technology and creativity.

The TIME100 AI Impact Awards Gala is an invite-only event, bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and artists to celebrate advancements in AI. The 2025 awards are supported by the World Governments Summit and the Museum of the Future.
