Top-Ranked Women’s College Basketball Teams Clash on ESPN Platforms

BRISTOL, Conn. — ESPN is set to deliver an action-packed week of women’s college basketball, featuring nearly 250 games across its platforms from Jan. 22-28. The lineup includes 17 of the nation’s Top 25 teams, with marquee matchups airing on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network, ACC Network, and ESPN+.

The week kicks off with a top-20 showdown on Thursday, Jan. 23, as the No. 17 Tennessee Lady Vols face the No. 7 Texas Longhorns at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN. Sam Gore and Tamika Catchings will provide commentary for the game in Austin, Texas.

Friday brings a top-5 clash as the undefeated No. 5 LSU Tigers take on the No. 2 South Carolina Gamecocks at 5 p.m. ET on ESPN. Roy Philpott, Rebecca Lobo, and Holly Rowe will call the game from Columbia, S.C.

ESPN2 will host two Top 25 matchups, including a Big 12 battle between No. 25 Baylor and No. 9 TCU on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET. Eric Frede and Rebecca Lobo will be on the call. Monday features a highly anticipated rematch between No. 2 South Carolina and No. 17 Tennessee at 7 p.m. ET, with Courtney Lyle and Carolyn Peck announcing.

ACC Network will showcase five games, including appearances by No. 20 NC State, No. 13 North Carolina, and No. 14 Duke. SEC Network will air five matchups, featuring No. 5 LSU, No. 11 Kentucky, and No. 19 Alabama.

ESPN+ will stream several key games, including No. 10 TCU vs. Oklahoma State on Wednesday and a simulcast of the Baylor-TCU game on Sunday. The platform will also feature No. 10 Kansas State and No. 16 West Virginia.

In addition to the games, ESPN play-by-play commentator Tiffany Greene will be honored with a Community Impact Award from Claflin University this weekend. The network is also continuing its #WeBackPat initiative, honoring the late Tennessee Lady Vols coach Pat Summitt and raising awareness for The Pat Summitt Foundation.
