Tornado Watches Expired as North Texas Weather Improves

DALLAS – Tornado Watches have expired in North Texas as storms moved out of the area on Monday night. In their place, residents can look forward to pleasant weather on Tuesday, with temperatures reaching the mid-80s and drier air moving in from the northwest.
The clear skies will be a welcome change after a weekend of severe weather that included tornado warnings, large hail, and heavy rain. A slight chance of rain returns on Thursday with a cold front that could induce scattered thunderstorms but experts do not expect widespread severe conditions.
“After tonight, we should expect a much clearer and warmer week ahead,” said FOX 4 Meteorologist Dan Henry. He noted that while Monday’s storms had the potential for producing large hail and damaging winds, the forecast looks promising beyond Tuesday.
Wednesday will bring even warmer temperatures, likely soaring into the low 90s as southerly winds return. While evenings will cool into the 60s, humidity is expected to climb again by Friday.
Looking toward the Memorial Day weekend, warmer and more humid conditions will dominate, with a risk of storms emerging Saturday and a potential for more organized weather disturbances by Sunday evening. Residents are advised to stay informed about shifting weather patterns as the holiday approaches.
Multiple agencies continue to monitor for any severe weather warnings as North Texans look to recover from recent storms. The FOX 4 weather team will provide updates as necessary.
