Traffic Delays Expected as MoDOT Repairs Route 7 Bridge

BENTON COUNTY, Mo. — Traffic delays are set to occur as the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) begins repairs on the Route 7 bridge over Truman Lake west of Warsaw. The work is scheduled to start the week of May 26.
The project involves replacing the bridge’s expansion joints and restriping the bridge deck, which are crucial for maintaining the bridge’s structural integrity. During the repairs, crews will close one lane at a time on Route 7.
Traffic will be managed by temporary stop signals positioned at both ends of the bridge. Drivers should prepare to encounter red stop lights as they approach these signals. Additionally, electronic signs and message boards will help inform drivers of the ongoing construction.
This bridge, built in 1970, sees approximately 3,000 vehicles cross it daily. The upgrades are intended to ensure the bridge remains safe for the heavy traffic it handles.
