Tragedy Strikes As Vistex Ceo Dies In Aerial Act Mishap

Vistex Asia CEO, Sanjay Shah, tragically lost his life in a devastating accident during the company’s 25th-anniversary celebrations. The incident occurred at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, where a grand event had been organized to commemorate the milestone.

Shah, who hailed from Mumbai and established Vistex in 1999, was based in Illinois, USA. The revenue management solutions and services firm, Vistex, has achieved a turnover of around $300 million under his leadership.

During the aerial act, Shah and Vishwanath Raj Datla, President of Vistex Asia, entered a specially designed stage elevated 20-feet above the ground. Tragically, one of the metal wires supporting the stage snapped without warning, causing it to collapse onto the spectators below.

Both Shah and Datla sustained severe injuries and were immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital. However, Shah succumbed to his injuries the next day, while Datla remains in critical condition.

A complaint has been lodged by Janakiram Raku Kalidindi, an executive director of Vistex Asia, against Usha Kiran Events, the event management company responsible for the mishap. An investigation is currently underway.

Shah’s untimely demise has shaken the Vistex community and the business world alike. Known for his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication, he had played a pivotal role in the company’s growth and success over the years.

Vistex Asia’s 25th anniversary celebration had initially been planned as a two-day event filled with joyous activities. The company had made lodging arrangements for its employees at Ramoji Film City, a prestigious venue known for hosting numerous events.

Sanjay Shah’s impact extended beyond the corporate world. He established the Vistex Foundation and the Vistex Institute for Executive Learning and Research at Lehigh University, emphasizing the importance of education and executive development.

Vistex, with over 20 offices worldwide and a workforce exceeding 20,000 employees, caters to prominent brands such as GM, Barilla, and Bayer. The company’s commitment to providing revenue management solutions and services has garnered significant recognition in the industry.
