Tragic Collision at LSU Campus Claims Lives of Two Young Adults

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – A devastating traffic accident on the LSU campus claimed the lives of two individuals, including an LSU student, on Wednesday evening, February 26, 2025. The collision, which involved a car and a motorcycle, occurred around 9 p.m. at the intersection of Nicholson Drive and South Quad Drive.

According to police, a Honda Accord traveling south on Nicholson Drive attempted to make a left turn onto South Quad Drive when it collided with a northbound motorcycle. Dashcam footage from a nearby vehicle captured the crash moment, which resulted in both vehicles bursting into flames.

The motorcyclist was identified as 23-year-old Bohdi Linton. Linton’s mother, Juanita Linton, tragically died in a motorcycle accident last year on I-10 East. Family and friends are mourning the loss of Bohdi, who was known for his vibrant spirit.

Dillon Reidenauer, an 18-year-old freshman pole vaulter on the LSU track and field team, was the driver of the Honda Accord. Reidenauer was a promising athlete from Abita Springs and had recently made headlines for her impressive performance in competitions. LSU Athletics confirmed Reidenauer’s death and expressed condolences in a statement: ‘Our thoughts and prayers are with Dillon’s family, friends, and teammates, as well as with those impacted by the loss of another individual who died as a result of the incident.’

Head Coach Dennis Shaver of the LSU Track and Field team expressed the team’s devastation over Reidenauer’s untimely passing, stating that they are providing resources to student-athletes and staff to help them navigate their grief during this tragic time.
