Tragic Death Of Lady Gabriella Kingston's Husband: Gun Found Near Body At Parents' Home

The inquest into the tragic death of Thomas Kingston, the husband of Lady Gabriella Kingston and son-in-law of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, unfolded with distressing details at Gloucestershire Coroner’s Court. Kingston, aged 45, was found deceased at his parents’ residence in the Cotswolds, with a traumatic head wound and a gun discovered near his body.

During the opening of the inquest on Friday, Senior Coroner Katy Skerrett revealed that the circumstances leading to Kingston’s demise were surrounded by heart-wrenching events. Kingston, a respected director at Devonport Capital, had lunch with his parents before his father ventured out to walk their dogs, only to return and find Kingston missing from the house.

After a futile search, Kingston’s mother, along with his father, made a grim discovery. His lifeless body was found in a locked outbuilding, with a catastrophic head injury and a gun present at the scene. Despite the harrowing nature of his passing, authorities have determined that no foul play was involved.

Lady Gabriella Kingston, married to Thomas since 2019 in a regal ceremony attended by Queen Elizabeth II, has been devastated by the loss. In a statement from Buckingham Palace following Kingston’s death, Lady Gabriella emphasized his exceptional nature, stating he was a man who brought light into the lives of all who knew him.

Expressions of sympathy and support poured in from royal figures, with King Charles and Queen Camilla conveying their heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Kingston’s grieving family. The royal couple, along with Prince Philip and Prince Harry, were among the dignitaries present at the couple’s wedding in the splendid setting of St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.

Kingston’s professional background included significant roles, such as his work with the diplomatic missions unit in Baghdad, Iraq, where he played a pivotal role in hostage negotiations. Throughout his career, he exhibited a commitment to critical situations and international relations.

Despite the family’s deep loss, no official details regarding funeral arrangements have been disclosed yet. The King and Queen, who have been informed of the tragic event, stand in unity with their family members during this period of mourning.
