Tragic Loss: Remembering Emily Gold of Los Osos High School Dance Team
The Los Osos High School dance team, which gained national recognition on Season 19 of “America's Got Talent” (AGT), is mourning the loss of one of its cherished members, Emily Gold. The 17-year-old, who was a senior and the Varsity Dance Captain, passed away, as confirmed by the San Bernardino Coroner's Office. Tragically, Emily died by suicide.
In a heartfelt statement shared on their social media, the team expressed their sorrow: “It is with such a heavy heart that we share the passing of our beautiful, kind, and loving Emily Gold. Emily embodied every aspect of our core team values through her strength, commitment, kindness, compassion, and the most humble heart.” They described Emily as a leader, a role model, and a sister to her teammates, emphasizing the immense void her passing leaves.
Following this tragic news, a fundraising campaign was launched to support Emily’s family during this difficult time. The campaign has raised roughly $37,000 of its $50,000 goal, highlighting the community’s support and solidarity with the Gold family.
