Tragic Motorcycle Accident Claims Life on Mount Ousley

A tragic accident occurred on Mount Ousley today, resulting in the unfortunate death of a motorcyclist.

Approximately at 4:10 PM on Friday, July 19, 2024, authorities received emergency calls reporting a collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle on the M1 Motorway, close to New Mount Pleasant Road in Mount Pleasant.

The rider, identified as a 32-year-old male, tragically lost his life before emergency medical personnel could reach the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver involved in the incident, a 25-year-old woman, miraculously sustained no injuries. However, she was transported to Wollongong Hospital for mandatory checks related to the accident.

In the aftermath of the crash, officers from the Wollongong Police District have established a crime scene to facilitate the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.

As part of the ongoing inquiries, law enforcement officials are appealing to the public for assistance. They are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who may have witnessed the incident or possesses any mobile phone or dash cam footage from the area.
