On October 15, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled 112 enemy attacks across various sectors of the frontline, according to reports from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Russian forces reportedly experienced significant losses, particularly in personnel and equipment, along the Pokrovsk axis.

Operational information as of 22:00 on October 16, 2024, posted on Ukrinform, reveals that the day began with 112 combat engagements. Throughout the day, Russian forces launched one missile strike, conducted 49 airstrikes, and dropped 50 guided aerial bombs (KABs). They also deployed 655 kamikaze drones and carried out over 3,500 shelling attacks on Ukrainian positions and civilian areas.

In the Kharkiv sector, the occupiers launched four attacks near Starytsia. Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully repelled these attacks, resulting in 65 enemy casualties and the destruction of 16 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), four units of specialized equipment, and a vehicle.

In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian forces reported 18 enemy attacks in areas such as Kucherivka, Pishchane, Stepova Novoselivka, Lozova, and Vyshneve. Nine engagements were ongoing at the time of reporting.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy launched 17 attacks, with Ukrainian defenders successfully repelling 13 advances near Hrekivka, Nevske, Terny, and Torske.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the Ukrainian forces faced three engagements near Stupochky. All enemy attempts to gain ground were unsuccessful.

In the Toretsk sector, Russian forces conducted a single attack near Toretsk, which was repelled without success.

The Pokrovsk sector witnessed intense fighting near Promin, Krutyi Yar, and Selydove, where Ukrainian forces repelled nine enemy assaults. Two engagements were ongoing, with preliminary Russian losses amounting to 155 personnel and several pieces of equipment, including a tank and a mortar.

The Kurakhove sector recorded 46 enemy attacks, with high activity near Tsukuryne, Novoselydivka, Hirnyk, Heorhiivka, and near Vodiane. Ukrainian forces successfully repelled 26 assaults in this area.

In the Vremivka sector, Ukrainian troops repelled three enemy attacks near Bohoyavlenka, Novoukrainka, and Zolota Nyva. The Orikhiv sector saw Ukrainian forces thwart one attack near Mala Tokmachka.

In the Prydniprovske sector, Ukrainian troops successfully fended off six assault attempts by Russian forces.

Meanwhile, the United States has announced an additional aid package amounting to USD 425 million to support Ukraine, further underscoring international support for the Ukrainian defense efforts.
