Union Home Minister Amit Shah's Sister Passes Away In Mumbai

Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s elder sister, Rajeshwariben Shah, has passed away while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Mumbai. The sad news has led to the cancellation of all of Amit Shah’s engagements in Gujarat. Rajeshwariben, who was in her mid-60s, had been unwell for some time and was receiving medical care in Mumbai.

Amit Shah, who represents the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency, was in Ahmedabad to celebrate Makar Sankranti with BJP supporters. However, he had to abruptly cancel his plans upon learning about his sister’s demise. Rajeshwariben’s mortal remains were brought to her residence in the morning, and her last rites will be performed at the Thaltej crematorium in the afternoon.

Earlier scheduled events in Banaskantha and Gandhinagar districts had been part of Amit Shah’s itinerary for the day. In Banaskantha, Shah was slated to inaugurate various projects of Banas Dairy in Deodar village. Later in the afternoon, he was scheduled to inaugurate developmental projects at Rashtriya Raksha University in Gandhinagar. However, due to the unfortunate circumstances, both events had to be cancelled.

The passing of Rajeshwariben Shah, the elder sister of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, has brought a halt to his public activities as he mourns the loss. The family’s focus will now be on bidding her a respectable farewell.
