Utah Bakery Recalls Products Over Undeclared Allergens

Spanish Fork, Utah – New Grains Gluten Free Bakery is recalling several baked goods due to the presence of undeclared allergens, specifically eggs, soy, and milk, which could pose serious health risks to consumers. The recall affects products sold between April 7 and April 21 under lot numbers 90–107, as the company discovered that some items contained these allergens without proper labeling.
The affected products include various types of bread, bagels, cookies, and croutons. These items were distributed across retail stores in Utah and are labeled as ‘gluten-free’ with packaging that can be red, purple, orange, blue, green, or pink.
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), eggs, soy, and milk are among the most common allergens, and exposure can lead to severe or life-threatening reactions. Symptoms might include hives, vomiting, or even anaphylaxis in extreme cases. Fortunately, there have been no reported illnesses linked to the recalled products.
The recall was initiated proactively after the bakery identified the labeling oversight during routine inspections. Consumers who have purchased these items are strongly advised not to consume them and to return them to the point of purchase for a full refund.
New Grains Gluten Free Bakery has emphasized its commitment to providing high-quality gluten-free products while ensuring customer safety. For further inquiries, customers can contact the bakery directly at 801-980-5751 during business hours.
