Vanessa and Robbie Chosen Welcome First Child, Charm

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Multimedia personality Sadé Vanessa, 29, and NFL wide receiver Robbie Chosen, 31, have welcomed their first child, a daughter named Charm Chosen, born on Dec. 19, 2024, a representative for the couple confirmed to PEOPLE.

Vanessa, who recently debuted on Netflix‘s reality series ‘WAGs to Riches,’ described her pregnancy journey as ‘a blessing.’ ‘It was very calm and peaceful, and nothing that I imagined it would be,’ she told PEOPLE. ‘Having Robbie present with me full time was a blessing in itself and divine timing.’

Chosen, an eight-year NFL veteran, expressed gratitude for being able to share the experience with Vanessa. ‘I’m thankful to be present for our journey,’ he said. ‘It’s a lifetime dream come true.’

The couple, who got engaged on Christmas Eve 2021, reflected on their new roles as parents. ‘It’s honestly amazing and nothing that I could’ve ever expected,’ Vanessa shared. ‘Now I see what people mean when they say there’s truly no love like it.’

Chosen, who grew up without a two-parent household, said fatherhood has given him a new perspective. ‘I’ve been blessed with a great woman and a beautiful child,’ he said. ‘It’s given me even more love and hope in all I do.’

Vanessa, who founded her own swimwear brand, praised Chosen for his attentiveness and love during the pregnancy. ‘He was so attentive, helpful, considerate, and loving,’ she said. ‘It’s the cutest thing to watch him with our daughter, especially when he talks to her in his baby voice.’

The couple’s daughter, Charm, has already brought significant changes to their lives. ‘She’s unlocked a new level of love and compassion within me,’ Vanessa said. ‘When I look at her, my life doesn’t feel real because of how blissful she makes me feel.’

Chosen, who most recently played for the Miami Dolphins, added that he looks forward to guiding and protecting his daughter. ‘I’m excited to live in the foundation we’ve been blessed to create,’ he said. ‘Being able to love her, guide her, protect her, and teach her through every step of her life is what I’m looking forward to.’

Vanessa and Chosen’s journey into parenthood comes as Vanessa gains recognition for her role in ‘WAGs to Riches,’ which premiered on Netflix on Jan. 22, 2025. The show highlights the lives of nine wives and girlfriends of high-profile celebrities, aiming to redefine the term ‘WAG.’
