Renowned actor Rituraj Singh, celebrated for his iconic roles in Indian television, breathed his last at the age of 59, leaving a profound impact on the entertainment landscape.
The news of Singh’s passing was confirmed by his close friend, Amit Behl, who revealed that the veteran actor succumbed to a sudden cardiac arrest in the early hours of Tuesday at his residence.
With a career that spanned over three decades, Singh’s journey in the spotlight began with the popular 1993 TV series ‘Banegi Apni Baat’, catapulting him to fame and setting the stage for a versatile acting repertoire.
Known for his roles in well-received shows like ‘Anupamaa‘, ‘Hitler Didi’, ‘Shapath’, and ‘Adaalat’, Singh also made notable appearances in Hindi films including ‘Badrinath Ke Dulhania‘ and in recent OTT hits like ‘Bandish Bandits‘ and ‘Made in Heaven‘.
Besides his professional achievements, Singh’s personal connections in the industry were equally significant, with his enduring friendship with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan dating back to their shared roots at Barry John’s Theatre Action Group in Delhi University.
His latest project, ‘Indian Police Force‘, which premiered just last month, stands as a testament to his unwavering dedication to the craft and his lasting impact on the entertainment world.
