Vikings’ Justin Jefferson Stars in Ambush Prank on GM
EAGAN, Minn. — Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson took center stage in a recent episode of Eli Manning‘s “The Undercovers,” which streamed on Amazon Prime Video this week. In the 30-minute special, Jefferson, disguised as a photographer named Darius Frost, hilariously pranked Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah.
The prank involved Jefferson asking trivia questions about the Vikings while using a high-pitched voice, all while wearing a fishing hat to hide his signature braided hairstyle. Jefferson’s setup caught Adofo-Mensah off guard, maintaining the ruse until the very end of the shoot.
In a moment captured on camera, Jefferson mispronounced the GM’s name and humorously inquired about a $140 million contract, which mirrors the value of his contract signed in 2024. Jefferson expressed his amusement at how long it took his boss to realize he was being pranked.
“Shout out to Kwesi,” Jefferson remarked. “Just going along with it. I mean, he definitely didn’t know who I was or what was going on during the time, so we got him definitely good. I appreciate him for being a part of it.”
The episode also featured three assistant coaches who were roped into the prank, initially responding to Jefferson’s silly photography requests before they caught on to who he was. He later joined a local flag football tournament, blending in with the players and surprising them with his skills on the field.
Jefferson reflected on the experience, saying, “Just with this job comes … a lot of things that I’m not really able to do anymore. So, it was good to be in the mix of everything and people not noticing who I am, asking for pictures and autographs and just really just letting me be. I definitely didn’t feel like that in a very long time. So it was cool being a part of that.”
