Guadalajara, Mexico — Viridiana Salazar made history in the Liga MX Femenil on Friday by scoring her 100th professional goal during a match against Necaxa Femenil. This significant milestone occurred in the 17th round of the Apertura 2025 tournament at Estadio Akron.

In the 13th minute, Salazar put the Club Deportivo Guadalajara on the scoreboard with a goal that extended their lead to 2-0. She received a pass from Joseline Montoya in the area and simply tapped the ball in. Shortly after, Alicia Cervantes added a third goal, making the score 3-0 before the half.

“It feels incredible to reach this milestone with my team,” Salazar expressed after the game. “Every goal is special, but this one is unforgettable.”

Cervantes, known for her scoring ability, also marked her 152nd goal in the league during additional time, solidifying Guadalajara’s victory over their rivals.

With this win, Club Deportivo Guadalajara finished the regular season in fifth place with 33 points, achieving 10 wins, three draws, and four losses. The team is now preparing for the Liguilla, the playoff for the championship.

Coach Antonio Contreras noted, “We have worked hard to get to this point, and we believe we can achieve our third title. The team is determined and ready for the challenges ahead.”
