NEW YORK, NY — Stage stars Wayne Brady and Taye Diggs will join the cast of “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre starting July 22, 2025. Brady will play Harold Zidler, and Diggs will take on the role of The Duke of Monroth.

Brady, a five-time Emmy Award winner, recently starred in the Broadway revival of “The Wiz” and is known for his roles in “Kinky Boots” and “Freestyle Love Supreme.” He also hosts CBS’s “Let’s Make a Deal.” His engagement will run through November 9.

Diggs is well-recognized for his role as Benjamin Coffin III in the celebrated musical “Rent.” He has also appeared in “Chicago,” “Wicked,” and “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” on Broadway. Diggs’s performance will conclude on September 28.

Currently, Boy George portrays Harold Zidler until May 25, after which Austin Durant will resume the role until July 20. Solea Pfeiffer, Jordan Fisher, and Andy Karl will also continue their performances through July 20.

“Moulin Rouge! The Musical” is adapted from Baz Luhrmann’s film and has received acclaim, winning ten Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The show features an eclectic score that combines over 160 years of music, blending classics with modern hits.

The production is directed by Alex Timbers, with a book and choreography inspired by the original movie. Tickets are available now through November 30.
