Waynesboro Prepares for Exciting Independence Day Celebration

WAYNESBORO, TN – The annual July 3rd Independence Day Celebration is set to light up Waynesboro City Park with food, music, and fireworks this year. The event, organized by Wayne Halfway House and the City of Waynesboro, will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 3rd.
Food trucks are gearing up to provide various delicious options for attendees, setting the tone for a festive evening. The highlight of the celebration will be a performance by Chayce Beckham, who is scheduled to take the stage at 5:30 p.m. Beckham, an alumnus of American Idol, is known for his original songs and heartfelt performances.
“You can’t tell someone how to write a song,” Beckham says of his unique approach to music. Since winning American Idol four years ago, Beckham has transitioned from being a heavy machinery operator to a rising country artist. Notably, he overcame significant challenges, including a near-fatal car accident just weeks before his audition.
Drake White will close out the musical entertainment with his powerful and honest music. After facing life-threatening health issues, including a hemorrhagic stroke in 2019, White’s determination to return to the stage has inspired many. He has received recognition from Rolling Stone and was awarded the British CMA Awards’ International Song of the Year.
As the musical performances wrap up, the evening will culminate with a dazzling fireworks display, a tradition that captivates the crowd every year. The fireworks signify the joyous ending of a night filled with celebration.
