Weird Al Yankovic Announces 2025 ‘Bigger & Weirder’ Tour
“Weird Al” Yankovic, the renowned parody artist, has officially announced his upcoming “Bigger & Weirder” tour set for 2025. The announcement made on Monday, September 23, reveals that the tour will span 65 cities, beginning with a five-night engagement at the Venetian Theatre at the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. The tour will kick off on June 13 and run until September 20, ending at the Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville, Tennessee.
This tour marks a return to amphitheaters with a full multimedia production, a first for Yankovic in six years. According to the promotional material, the performances will blend Yankovic’s iconic hits with fan favorites that have never been performed live. The shows promise a state-of-the-art experience featuring a giant video wall, multiple costume changes, and an eight-piece ensemble featuring Yankovic’s original band. Yankovic, age 64, expressed excitement over the tour, stating, “This is kind of a ‘best of both worlds’ tour. We’ll be doing all the big crowd-pleasing parodies as well as some deep cuts for the hardcore fans – but with twice as many players on stage, everything is going to sound twice as good!”
The opening act for this expansive tour is set to be Puddles Pity Party, known for his distinctive sad clown persona and previous appearances on “America's Got Talent.” Tickets for the tour will go on public sale at 10 a.m. local time on Friday, September 27. Yankovic’s tour will visit major cities across the United States and Canada, including stops in Salt Lake City, Indianapolis, Toronto, Boston, Philadelphia, and New Orleans, to name a few.
In addition to the tour, 2024 has been a notable year for Yankovic, as he celebrated the 10th anniversary of his 14th studio album, “Mandatory Fun,” which was his first album to reach the top of the Billboard 200 chart. Earlier this year, he released his first new song in a decade, a polka medley featuring snippets of songs by contemporary artists such as Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, and Lil Nas X.
Yankovic’s 2025 tour schedule includes several notable stops in New York with performances at the Darien Lake Amphitheater near Buffalo, the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, and the Broadview Stage at SPAC in Saratoga Springs. For fans eager to experience Yankovic’s unique blend of humor and musical prowess, this tour is set to offer an enhanced theatrical experience.
