Wilkes-Barre to Begin Water Main Installation Monday

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Pennsylvania American Water is set to start installing new water mains in Wilkes-Barre beginning Monday. The installation work will take place on several local streets and is expected to continue throughout the summer.
City officials advised motorists to be aware of the construction activities and to exercise caution while driving in the affected areas. The streets scheduled for water main installation include South Sherman Street, Dana Street, Noble Lane, Hanover Street, Westminster Street, and Austin Avenue.
Residents should anticipate possible delays and detours as work progresses. Pennsylvania American Water has promised to keep the community informed about the construction timeline and any additional impacts on traffic.
