Mega Millions Lottery Drawing Results

DETROIT, Mich. — The Mega Millions lottery drawing on Tuesday, Feb. 18, yielded no jackpot winners, resulting in an estimated prize pool of $165 million for the next drawing on Friday. The winning numbers for the latest drawing were 1, 20, 25, 58, 61, with the Mega Ball being 22 and a Megaplier of 2X.

No tickets matched all six numbers drawn, meaning players will once again have a chance at the massive jackpot. The cash option for this jackpot stands at approximately $75.1 million.

Michigan Lottery spokesperson Lisa Bowers stated, “With the jackpot escalating, we anticipate a surge in ticket sales leading up to Friday’s drawing.” The Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. ET, with ticket sales ending at 10:45 p.m. on the night of the draw.

Players can purchase Mega Millions tickets for $2 each, with the option to add the Megaplier for an additional $1. This feature allows players to multiply non-jackpot prizes, with multipliers drawn from a pool of 15 balls: five marked 2X, six 3X, three 4X, and one 5X.

The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot remain incredibly low, at 1 in 302,575,350. Despite this, many players continue to hope for luck, with some opting for Quick Picks, where numbers are randomly generated by the lottery machine.

Those lucky enough to win the jackpot can choose between two payment options: an annuity that provides an immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments increasing by 5% each year, or a lump-sum cash payment. “This structure is designed to protect winners’ lifestyles and purchasing power amid inflation,” according to the Mega Millions website.

The most recent jackpot winner prior to this drawing was a single ticket holder from Arizona, who won $113 million in January. Since the start of 2024, only four tickets have matched all six numbers, making it one of the lowest years for jackpots in the history of Mega Millions.

As anticipation builds for Friday’s drawing, players are reminded to play responsibly and be aware of local rules regarding ticket purchases, especially in states allowing online purchases.
