WIS 16 Reopens After Crash, Traffic Delayed for Hours

MADISON, Wis. — All lanes on WIS 16 have reopened following a two-car crash that caused significant delays early Thursday morning. The accident occurred between Lewiston Station Rd. and New Haven Rd., leading to both eastbound and westbound lanes being closed.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation reported that the Columbia County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene at approximately 4:28 a.m. The agency estimated that cleanup would take around two hours, during which traffic was heavily affected.
