WWE Star Lance Anoa’i Faces Extended Recovery from Injury

ORLANDO, Fla. — Lance Anoa'i, a rising star on the WWE‘s NXT roster, is currently recovering from an injury that has sidelined him longer than expected. Initially set to be cleared for action in early 2025, Anoa’i suffered an additional injury that delayed his return.
Anoa’i signed with WWE in 2024 but has yet to make an appearance on NXT under his current contract. Fans were anticipating his inclusion in the Evolve event, but there is no official word on when he might return to the ring.
Besides the recent injury, Anoa’i has not competed since August 25, 2024, where he faced TNA Wrestling talent KC Navarro in a match that ended without a winner. This match took place during the BPW Blitzed event in Brodheadsville.
Prior to this setback, Anoa’i showcased his talent during the AXW Heritage Title Tournament, winning a quarterfinal match against Dustin Waller. However, he ultimately decided to focus on his WWE commitments after his initial injury.
Anoa’i’s career spans notable moments on WWE television. He was featured on the January 2, 2015 episode of SmackDown, teaming with Rhett Titus, and reappeared during the February 1, 2017 episode of NXT. Most recently, on May 27, 2019, Anoa’i faced Shane McMahon on Monday Night Raw but lost due to Drew McIntyre‘s interference. Roman Reigns, Anoa’i’s cousin and a WWE superstar, came to his aid during that match.
The wrestling community is eager for Anoa’i’s recovery and hopeful for his upcoming performances.
