9-Year-Old Girl Injured in Vehicle Collision in Manheim Borough

9 Year Old Girl Vehicle Accident North Main Street Manheim

MANHEIM, Pa. — A 9-year-old girl suffered severe injuries after being struck by a vehicle on North Main Street in Manheim Borough at approximately 2 p.m. on Sunday, according to local police.

The girl was hit by a northbound vehicle in the 100 block of North Main, near the town’s center. Following the incident, she was transported to Hershey Medical Center for treatment of a substantial head injury.

Investigating Sergeant James Starr confirmed that as of Wednesday, the girl was alive, but there were no further updates provided regarding her condition at that time.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with officers. According to witnesses, the girl reportedly ran into the street without utilizing a designated crosswalk.

The borough police are conducting an investigation in conjunction with the Northwest Lancaster County Crash Team. Authorities have not announced whether any charges will be filed against the driver.
