Young Thug Sparks Controversy with Alleged Shade at Gunna Following Prison Release
In a dramatic turn of events, rapper Young Thug has allegedly taken shots at his former collaborator Gunna, just days after his release from prison. According to reports, Young Thug posted a now-deleted message on the social media platform X, where he told Gunna to stop pretending they are friends online. The post read, “Gunna stop acting like we friends on the internet, I don’t know u my guy”.
This public feud comes as a surprise, especially given that Young Thug had recently pleaded with a Georgia judge to allow him to make music with Gunna while on parole. Young Thug was freed from jail after serving five years in the highly publicized YSL Rico trial, although he still faces a 15-year probationary sentence.
DJ Akademiks has also weighed in on the situation, alleging that Young Thug had messaged other rappers, including Lil Baby, labeling Gunna a ‘snitch’. This accusation adds another layer to the complex and tense relationship between the two rappers.
Young Thug’s recent release from prison followed a non-negotiated plea deal where he accepted full responsibility for his actions, including charges of racketeering conspiracy, criminal street gang activity, and various drug and firearms offenses. He addressed the court, expressing regret and apologizing to his family.
