YouTuber IShowSpeed Aims to Set Backflip World Record
NEW DELHI – American YouTuber IShowSpeed, known for his unconventional livestream challenges, has recently garnered widespread attention after attempting to set a new world record for the most backflips in a 24-hour period. His ambition is to surpass Austrian athlete Nico Scheicher’s current record of 1,001 backflips, as recognized by Guinness World Records.
During a live broadcast on his YouTube channel, IShowSpeed stated, “The reason why I am doing this inside is because there’s a damn hurricane happening outside.” He added that he wanted to “prove everybody wrong who said I cannot do these flips” before initiating his backflip endeavor.
The internet personality completed 100 backflips in 30 minutes, a feat that attracted significant media coverage and public interest when a portion of the livestream was shared on the social media platform X by the user @FearedBuck. “He was projected to reach 100 backflips in almost 3 hours initially, he might beat the world record sooner than anticipated,” read the caption accompanying the viral clip.
The video quickly garnered over six million views and a plethora of reactions from users. One comment read, “From jumping Lamborghini to this yeah speed is on a whole another level.” Another user remarked, “He is gonna break the world record of 1001 backflips in like 10 hours. Speed is unreal.”
Adding to the discourse surrounding IShowSpeed’s challenge, the controversial internet figure Andrew Tate, known for his outspoken online presence, voiced his support on X. Tate praised the YouTuber saying, “Instead of screaming at babies, IShowSpeed is finally doing something cool. It’s cool because it takes dedication and hard work.”
Tate’s endorsement comes as a surprise to some, given his prior criticisms of IShowSpeed’s antics, which included a viral incident earlier this year involving a child. Despite past criticisms, Tate is now urging his followers to support IShowSpeed’s backflip attempt.
