Demi Engemann Accuses Jessi Ngatikaura of Betrayal Amid Feud

Los Angeles, CA — Demi Engemann has opened up about her ongoing feud with cast member Jessi Ngatikaura, accusing Jessi of betraying her trust for the sake of fame.
During an appearance on The Viall Files podcast, Engemann, star of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, discussed the fallout after Jessi revealed a traumatic secret. Engemann stated that she had confided in all the girls following her participation in the second season of Vanderpump Villa, sharing her experience of sexual assault and asking them to keep it private.
“I had opened up to all the girls… and I asked them not to tell anyone,” Demi explained. She mentioned that some cast members had urged her to report the incident to authorities, but she decided to handle it her own way. Unfortunately, Jessi allegedly shared Demi’s secret with Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay shortly after meeting her.
Engemann expressed her hurt, stating, “Why would you, in the first five minutes of knowing this person, tell her something that I’ve asked you not to tell her?” Bret Engemann, Demi’s husband, echoed her sentiments, claiming Jessi would do anything for fame. “That is her only priority in life. ‘How famous can I become?’” he said.
Demi also revealed that she was scheduled to appear on Scheana’s podcast with Jessi but did not attend due to contract disputes for Season 2 of SLOMW. “I ghosted her on the Scheana podcast and didn’t let her know that I wasn’t going to go,” she admitted.
This isn’t the first time Demi has spoken about her allegations of assault. Last month, she defended herself on social media against doubters, stating that unwanted physical touch is assault. She expressed disappointment towards those who judged her handling of the situation.
Engemann clarified her intentions, saying that she never meant for her story to be public. “Given the fact that this was brought to light by the person who is to blame, I have been given no choice but to set the record straight,” she stated.
As for reconciliation, Demi suggested that while both have wronged each other, she wouldn’t actively reach out to Jessi. “Do you feel like it’s your place to go knocking down their door?” she asked.
In response, Jessi stated in a separate interview that she will “never be friends with” Demi again due to what she described as “unforgivable” actions. “[Our friendship is] done for good,” she declared.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is currently streaming on Hulu.
