Victoria Day Weekend Toronto 2025

Toronto, Canada — After a lingering cold and wet winter, Toronto is set for a sunny Victoria Day weekend starting May 19, 2025. The forecast suggests warm temperatures around 16°C, perfect for outdoor activities, despite some potential rain on Friday and Saturday.

Many residents are eager to celebrate the long weekend with various festivities. According to Environment Canada, the weather will improve significantly, allowing residents to enjoy the holiday.

The city plans its annual fireworks display at Ashbridges Bay Park on Monday evening at 10 p.m. The show, lasting about 14 minutes, can be viewed from the boardwalk stretching from Emdaabiimok Avenue to Victoria Park Avenue. Police remind attendees that alcohol is prohibited in the park.

In the lead-up to the celebrations, city officials advise that major road delays and restricted parking are expected due to various events. Public transit is highly recommended for those attending festivities.

Toronto police have also issued reminders about fireworks regulations. Fireworks are only permitted on private property before 11 p.m. on Victoria Day. Setting off fireworks in public parks, beaches, or any other public spaces is not allowed, nor are bonfires.

As Torontonians prepare for the long weekend, it is important to note that some businesses and services will be closed or operate on reduced hours on May 19. Visitors are encouraged to explore the city while considering which attractions and services will be available.
