Post Malone and Jelly Roll Light Up Minneapolis Concert

MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota — Post Malone and Jelly Roll wowed a sold-out crowd at U.S. Bank Stadium on Tuesday night, delivering an eclectic mix of music that spanned genres and showcased their unique personalities.
Jelly Roll, known for his impressive transformation from underground hip-hop artist to country hitmaker, opened the show after a set by Sierra Ferrell. He grinned widely during his hour-long performance, engaging with the audience like a motivational speaker. “We did it baby,” he shouted after performing his 2024 hit “Liar,” recalling past venues he played in the Twin Cities.
Jelly Roll, born Jason DeFord, gained mainstream success with his first country single, “Son of a Sinner,” in 2022. Since then, he has been ubiquitous in music charts and commercials. His powerful voice resonated as he performed fan favorites like “Lonely Road,” mashing it with John Denver’s classic “Take Me Home, Country Roads.”
Post Malone, whose real name is Austin Post, began his first-ever stadium show with a diverse set, including tracks from his newest album, “F-1 Trillion.” His performance featured hits like “Texas Tea,” “Wow,” and “Better Now,” demonstrating his genre-blending style. Collaborations with stars like Morgan Wallen and Blake Shelton add to the album’s appeal.
The concert saw memorable collaborations, with Ferrell joining Post Malone for “Never Love You Again” and Jelly Roll returning for “Losers.” Throughout the performance, Post Malone reflected on turning 30 in July and his decade-long career in music.
The energy in the stadium was palpable as fans sang along to classics like “White Iverson” and newer tracks. His willingness to experiment with different musical styles has kept him relevant, contributing to his thriving career.
In front of an audience of approximately 50,000, the trio of artists showcased their diverse musical backgrounds while connecting with fans. Their ability to blend genres such as country, pop, and hip-hop created an engaging atmosphere.
“Tonight was special,” Jelly Roll shared during his set. “I’m just grateful to be here.” With both artists celebrating significant milestones in their careers, the concert proved to be a night to remember.
