América Fc Liga Mx Final 2025

Ciudad de México, MéxicoClub América will host Toluca this Thursday, May 22, in the first leg of the Liga MX final at Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes. The match is set to begin at 10:00 PM ET.

América, under coach André Jardine, aims for a historic fourth consecutive championship after winning the Apertura tournaments in 2023 and 2024. They reached the final by defeating Cruz Azul in the semifinals.

“We are only two games away from making history,” said Jardine. “Playing at home gives us the advantage, and we want to start strong.”

Toluca earned their spot in the final after an impressive victory over Tigres with a 4-1 aggregate score. Their forward, Alexis Vega, has been hailed as one of the league’s standout players this season.

The last time these teams met in the postseason was during Apertura 2024, where América triumphed over Toluca with a 4-0 aggregate score in the quarterfinals. However, when they faced each other during the regular season of Clausura 2025, América secured a solid 3-0 victory.

This match promises to be a tactical battle between Jardine and Toluca’s coach, Turkish Mohamed. Fans can catch the action live on Univision and various streaming platforms.

“We have a strong team and we are ready for the challenge,” said Mohamed. “This is our chance to end América’s dominance in the league.”
