Maxwell Anderson Trial Verdict

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — A jury found Maxwell Anderson guilty of all counts in the murder trial surrounding the death of 19-year-old Sade Robinson. The verdict was delivered Friday morning at the Milwaukee County Courthouse after a brief deliberation period of about 20 minutes.

Anderson, 34, faced multiple charges including first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse, hiding a corpse, and arson. The case revolved around the brutal killing and dismemberment of Robinson, which occurred in April 2024 after the two went on a date.

During the trial, the jury heard from more than 65 witnesses and reviewed over 300 pieces of evidence. The prosecution showcased surveillance footage, text messages, and forensic analyses that suggested Anderson was responsible for the horrific crime. They argued he murdered Robinson and disposed of her body in various locations.

Judge Laura Crivello instructed the jury and emphasized the importance of weighing the evidence fairly. After receiving the case on Thursday, the jury received no witness testimony from the defense as they opted not to call any witnesses and Anderson did not testify.

In live updates, the jury’s verdict was confirmed around 9:20 a.m. Judge Crivello cautioned attendees about outbursts during the announcement, requesting decorum in the courtroom.

Anderson will be sentenced on August 15, 2025, and faces a mandatory life sentence for the homicide charge.
