Spain Vs Italy Women's Euro 2025

BERN, Switzerland – The final day of the group stage in the Women’s Euro 2025 is set as Spain prepares to face Italy on Friday, July 11.

Both teams are vying for crucial positions as they approach the knockout rounds. Spain leads Group B with six points after dominant victories over Portugal and Belgium, scoring a total of 11 goals while conceding two. They crushed Portugal 5-0 and secured a 6-2 win against Belgium.

Italy, in second place with four points, started the group stage with a narrow 1-0 win over Belgium and a 1-1 draw against Portugal. A win or draw against Spain will solidify their spot in the quarter-finals, while a loss could lead to their elimination, depending on Portugal’s performance against Belgium.

“We’re feeling confident after our last two matches,” Spain coach Montse Tomé said. “But we must stay focused; Italy is a strong team and can pull off surprises.”

Historically, Spain and Italy have met seven times, with Italy holding the edge with four wins, compared to Spain’s one, and two draws. Currently, Spain is unbeaten in their last five matches, while Italy has three wins and two draws during the same span.

The match at the Stade de Suisse kicks off at 3:00 PM ET and will be broadcast across various platforms, including ESPN in Mexico and the U.S. and RTVE in Spain.

In Italy’s roster, goalkeeper Laura Giuliani and defenders Martina Lenzini and Cecilia Salvai are expected to play key roles. For Spain, star players include Adriana Nanclares and Alexia Putellas, who aim to lead the team to another victory.

With both teams eager to establish their momentum in the tournament, this match promises to be an exciting clash.
