Alejandro Fernández Cancels Concerts Due to Health Crisis

Las Vegas, NV – Mexican singer Alejandro Fernández, popularly known as ‘El Potrillo‘, revealed he faced a serious health crisis that forced him to cancel several concert dates. In an interview with Univision, Fernández shared details about the symptoms that kept him off the stage for a few days.
“I had several things come together,” Fernández said. He explained he developed an eye condition that caused allergies which, if not treated quickly, could lead to an infection. He visited an ophthalmologist who prescribed a strong medication that upset his stomach.
Fernández, 54, disclosed that he unknowingly had a bacterial infection of salmonellosis that deteriorated his health. “I couldn’t walk, I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t even drink water,” he stated.
Lili Estefan, the show’s presenter, mentioned that she was concerned but noted, “I called him last week, and he is already recovering.” Despite his health struggles, Fernández recently performed in Las Vegas alongside his daughter, Camila Fernández, with his mother cheering from the audience.
